The Montrose Community Schools is proud to serve students with special needs. If you know a student who may have a disability, please contact our Special Education Supervisor, Mrs. Cassandra Wright at 810.591.8886 or the Administrative Assistant, Mrs. Kim Stark at 810.591.8887 and ask for our Child Find/Project Find services. Determination of Specific Learning Disability Eligibility
Specific Learning Disability eligibility is evaluated using a Pattern of Strengths and Weaknesses for all buildings and grade levels. This process is based on both assessment and review of achievement scores and performance in a variety of academic areas. For more information on this process, please refer to the Procedural Guidelines for Specific Disabilities Identification prepared by the Genesee Intermediate School District (October 2011).
