Assistant Superintendent
Meet Mrs. Cassandra Jackson – Assistant Superintendent
I am proud to say that I’ve been a Montrose Ram since 2003. After graduating from the University of Michigan-Flint with my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, I was hired as a 5th grade ELA and Mathematics teacher at Kuehn-Haven Middle School. Within the first few years of teaching, I earned my Master’s Degree from Marygrove College. I loved my time as a classroom teacher at KHMS and especially enjoyed teaching math (my favorite subject)! After 8 years in the classroom, I moved to central office as the Executive Director of Curriculum in 2011. I spent 2 years in this position, supporting teachers in the area of curriculum and instruction. During this time, I completed my Educational Specialist Degree from University of Michigan-Flint and obtained my administration certification. In 2013, I was fortunate enough to become the Carter Elementary School Principal. Working with our preschool and elementary aged students day-in and day-out for 9 years brought me so much joy, laughter, and enough memories to last a lifetime. My time at Carter will always hold a special place in my heart! In July of 2022, I began a new and exciting journey as I took the position of Assistant Superintendent. In my current role, I work to support principals, coaches, teachers, students, and families. The best part of my job is being able to connect with others in this outstandingly supportive community each and every day!
In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, my 4 children, and our bernadoodle. When we aren’t at Emmanuel Church (our home away from home), we can be found at a sporting event for one of my sons. I love reading, playing the piano, leading a small group at church, and walking.
If you see me throughout the district, please say hello. My office door is always open!
Go Rams!
